Calenders are used to manufacture sheets of varying thickness to incorporate technical fabrics with rubber and to coat fabrics with thin rubber sheets.
The calender consists of 2 to 4 hard cast rolls of lengths up to 2300mm.arranged in a frame.T he rolls are hollow or drilled on their periphery and equipped for heating or cooling just as the mixing mills.The roll gap is adjustable.
